M&MS & ROMEOs
Come join our ladies lunch group, Modern and Mature Women, and our mens lunch group, Retired Old Men Eating Out, for good food and even better conversation. The senior members of our church get together the first Friday of each month for lunch at different locations in the area. This is a great opportunity to meet the Twinbrook Baptist Community in an informal setting. If you are interested please contact the church for more information.
Do you like to read? Are books a passion of yours? Do discussion of characters get you excited? Then come join us the second Wednesday of every month at 10am in the Church Library for our monthly book club meeting. To find out what we are reading this month click here.
Little Free Library
A member of our church has started a new mission here at TBC. The Little Free Library's mission is to promote literacy and a love of reading by building free book exchanges world wide. We have received a Little Free Library house and are in the process of painting it and placing it on our property. Our plan is to fill it with books and promote it to the neighborhood which we hope will begin a chain reaction of book sharing within the community surrounding our church. Join the literacy locomotive and share a book.
Do you like to sing? Read out loud? Handle money? Or meet new people? Then we are looking for you. We are currently looking for volunteers for our choir, scripture readers, ushers, and greeters. If you feel you are interested in any of these tasks contact us at email@example.com for more information.
Coffee Hour Volunteers
Everyone here at TBC loves coffee hour. It is a time to mingle and try some great food, but where does that food come from? It is from our lovely church community. So help keep the food coming by signing up to provide food for the whole thing or just sign up to provide a dish. Maybe you want to form a group and do it all together, maybe you want to make snacks while your friend wants to make deserts, maybe your family each has a specialty they want to bring. What ever way you want to do it, SIGN UP, the sheets are in the hall. Let your inner Julia Child come out to play.
Church Library Book Donations
Steve Rogers is heading up an effort to clean up the church library, making it more usable, organized, and relevant. If you would like to suggest or donate any books to the library please contact the church at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are open to all books, but for obvious reasons would prefer those with religious leanings and orientation
Altar Flower Donations
Every week you see those lovely flowers up on the alter, ever wonder where they came from? People donate them. Whether it is in memory of some one, in honor of some one, or just because you saw a pretty bouquet at the store. We have the vases we just need the blooms so sign up on the sign up sheet in the hall to spread a little spring time beauty in this chilly winter weather.
We are very grateful to everyone who donated cups, plates, and napkins. We are now stocked up for the foreseeable future. What we now need is Paper Towels and Coffee (decaf and high test). So add those to your shopping lists and grab some the next time you are out.
Pics, Pictures, and Photos
Have you seen our multimedia page? Wondering where all those awesome pictures and video(s) come from? Well we collect them from the wonderful members of our congregation. If you are interested in donating pictures from church events we are happy to have them. Either post/share the picture(s) or album(s) to our facebook page or send them to our webmaster's e-mail address email@example.com.
